Congratulations
Karen Taggart and her team Kaz FC who
were last season's winner's and record score of 1067points beating Keith Chilvers previous record of 1024. In the most one sided season ever Karen led from early November until the
end of the season, only once being deposed from top spot by Jean Douglas's Celtic Braves who finished second and led for two weeks, .
The
first few weeks the season saw the leadership change almost
on a weekly basis. By the time the transfer window
opened long time leader Jon Beattie Snokkeroo's who had lead the leage for most of the first half of the season had ran in to an injury crisis with 4 of his team ruled out for the season.
Wise
dealings during the Transfer window saw Karen Taggart and Jean Douglas take charge with at one time a lead of 73 points betweek second and third place. As the season went on three teams emerged to challenge her, Chris Berhens Special Ones Simon Leeks Great Gunners and Ste Bakers Fantastico teams started to eat away Karens leadl but it was still not enough.
Towards the end of the season there were many teams scoring heavily including Chris Pattisons Laughing Cavaliers who had he used his transfer could have pipped Karen to the title. And Craig Mendum's Chippa is god team who threatend to catch the leaders being the top points scorer over the last two weeks of the season. |
